Specs - The Kitchen Sink 18th Century French reclaimed oak planks have incredible history, character and value.  These planks are the supporting cast of first cut antique French oak floors, where centuries ago, French fine home builders cut, sawed measured and installed French oak planks to become the structure of French manor homes, to become the subfloors, ceilings and attics - all holding stories from long ago.  The weight of history - the weight of being the supporting structure of the homes have aged them well.  There is much surface patina, French oak grain and character of these planks - from original band saw marks to worm holes and nail holes - their rich, saturated oak colors will imbue interiors with warmth and historic authenticity.   

Process - Great care is taken to salvage our 18th century French oak floors.  The planks are then kiln-dried and de-nailed.  

Engineered Specs - The dried and de-nailed antique French oak planks are glued to Birch Marine Plywood.  The glue is eco-certified following strict EU guidelines. 

Top Layer: 6 mm - total thickness 3/4" - tongue & groove  - end matched

Installation - tongue & groove, end matched. No adjustments need to be made during installation such as hand-scraping.  Planks are flush after installation, no lippage.  Please call for recommended sealing instructions.

Cleaning and Maintenance:  Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
