Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat is a village in west-central France that sits on a hill above the river Vienne.  One of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, it retains the Romanesque collegial church and its bell tower dating partly from the 11th century.  What's fantastical about this village is that its old houses follow a medieval street pattern, where the streets converge into a public space where once an abbey sat.  The charm of Saint-Leonard-de-Noblat has many treasures, one of which is our recently salvaged lot of saintly reclaimed terra cotta tile hexagons.  I say saintly for we salvaged it from a dilapidated structure on the grounds of one of the many churches in the village.  The colors of the clay mirror the historic homes of their clay roof tiles and plastered walls - a wonderful mix of terra cotta, cream, butter, apricot and chestnut.  A smooth, worn patina, exacting edge details perfectly time worn and a diminutive size make this floor attractive for it's historic authenticity and craftmanship.

Recommended Sealer after Installation:  Akemi Stone Impregnation for French Reclaimed Terra Cotta Tile Flooring

Cleaning and Maintenance:  Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
