Concarneau is a department of Brittany in northwestern France, along the Atlantic coast.  The city has two distinct areas - the modern town on the mainland and the medieval Ville Close, a walled town on an island in the center of the harbor.  Historically, the old town was a center of shipbuilding and it's ramparts date from the 14th century.  This is where we located a lovely square French reclaimed terra cotta tile lot - reflecting the colors of it's provenance.  The colors - a beautiful variation of shell, sand, blush, gray and moss - has a worn patina, historically aged edging and it's consistent thickness will allow for an elegant tight grout line once installed.  It's adorable diminutive size would give justice to interiors seeking authenticity for a powder room or entry.  This is an historical beach color palette.

Recommended Sealer after Installation:  Akemi Stone Impregnation for French Reclaimed Terra Cotta Tile Flooring

Cleaning and Maintenance:  This lot will need surface cleaning after installation. Vacuum, then clean with Black Soap (Savon Noir) to disinfect, maintain, protect and enhance patina.
